About Us

We're Cris & Pablo

The story behind this running vacations company

In 2011 we created our running trips company as a mean to support us and our four boys. Our company had changed our life in ways we would never foreseen.
We believe you can not show a place to others if you’re not local, and be a local means that you should be able to say “this is my kids school” or… “say hello to my grandma”.

We have some rules

This are a few running vacations rules

We try to get those who join us to experience what we did when we first discovered the areas we run by, so don’t expect us to give us all the details.

Trust us, read the reviews.

– We feel an immense amount of respect for the people that live in the jungles, beaches, mountains and deserts we run by.

Over a   decade   of Trail Leadership

With more than 15 years of experience designing and leading international trail-running expeditions, we’ve built a reputation for crafting journeys that combine challenge, culture, and deep personal growth.

We started in the rugged beauty of Costa Brava, guiding small groups on scenic runs by the Mediterranean. But as word spread, so did our reach—and ambition. Since 2011, we’ve personally led and operated trail-running experiences in Costa Rica, Morocco, The Spanish Pyrenees, Italy, France and other Europen regions.

Through our previous project, Run The World Adventures, and now as Nomatrail, we’ve guided hundreds of runners across continents. Our focus has always been the same:
create meaningful, local, and safe experiences that leave a mark far beyond the finish line.

Let us help you plan your next adventure

Our   Guiding   Principles

At Nomatrail, running is not about racing — it’s about meaning.

Our adventures are grounded in a shared belief that travel, when done consciously, can transform us. Whether you’re crossing a jungle, a mountain pass or a desert valley, we design every step around these values:

Green heart cupped in hands, representing love for nature and trail preservation.

Connection

with nature, with yourself, and with those who run beside you.

Localism

We don’t outsource. We integrate. When we say "local", we mean family.

Challenge

physical effort unlocks mental clarity and emotional openness.

Authenticity

We seek real moments, real people, real places. No filters. No crowds.

About Us

When we say local, we mean this.

We believe you can’t truly explain a place unless you are part of it.
Being a local means saying things like:
This is where my children go to school.
Say hello to my friend or neighbour.

That’s the kind of connection we offer.

Each journey is built alongside people who live the stories of the land — not just know them. Our routes don’t follow a script. They follow memories, relationships, trails we’ve walked a hundred times.

You’re not a tourist here. You’re a guest.

One of the most meaningful ways we’ve found to truly belong wherever we go is through language. Spanish and Catalan are our mother tongues and we also speak English, but language for us is much more than just words, it’s a bridge to connect with people, to understand their stories, and to be welcomed not as tourists, but as one of them. Pablo also speaks Italian and Amazigh, and Cristina speaks Arabic. We are not tourists passing by, but travelers embracing sharing smiles, stories, and everyday moments with locals, they know us.
