Guided running tours —
you don't visit a place, you run through it.

Five small-group, point-to-point trail-running holidays. Wake up somewhere new every day — Morocco, Costa Rica, Sicily, the Pyrenees, Costa Brava.

We run as a way to travel — not to race the clock.

No PBs, no pressure. Just you, wild ground underfoot, and the next ridge. We stop to jump in the sea, take photos, and share a long table at dinner.

Trail runners in the Moroccan desert
The trail

Wild ground, real trails

12 to 24 kilometres a day at a pace that lets you look up — sea-cliffs on the Camí de Ronda one week, high desert the next. Every route is one we've run ourselves, for years.

Where the signal ends

In Morocco we head far from the tourist trail, sleeping in the homes of friends in the High Atlas. In Costa Rica the final days are so deep in the jungle you can only leave by boat. You're not passing through — you're a guest.

The people

You arrive as runners.
You leave as family.

Groups are kept small — 4 to 12 — so everyone shares one dinner table. Every trip is led by our family and local friends; you'll never meet an outside guide on our trails.

The five routes

Five destinations. One idea.

Guided end to end, point-to-point, in small groups. Pick the ground that calls you — each trip has its own page.

What is a guided running tour?

A guided running tour is a holiday built around running — but the running is only half of it. Instead of training alone, you join a small group and a local guide to run the best trails a place has to offer, point to point, day after day, with the route-finding, the logistics and the recovery all taken care of. You run in the morning, explore and eat well in the afternoon, sleep somewhere comfortable, and wake up to do it again somewhere new. It is part running holiday, part guided adventure, part cultural trip — and you come home a stronger, happier runner with a group of new friends.

A NomaTrails running vacation is a guided, small-group trail running holiday on a hand-built route. Each of our five destinations is a multi-day journey — a crossing from the Atlas to the Sahara, a traverse from the Pyrenees down to the Mediterranean, a descent from a Costa Rican summit to the Pacific — that you simply could not string together on your own. We handle the trails, the accommodation and the local knowledge; you bring your running shoes and a sense of adventure.

Why choose a NomaTrails guided running tour

  1. Truly small groups. Our groups are small enough to share one long dinner table — never a coach-tour crowd. You are a name, not a number, and the pace of the day bends to the people on the trail.
  2. A family that actually runs it. NomaTrails is family-run and we have been running these trails for 15 years. Every running vacation is guided by us and by local friends who know the mountains, the villages and the best café at the end of the day.
  3. Hand-built routes you could not run alone. These are real journeys — a crossing from the Atlas to the Sahara, a traverse from the Pyrenees to the Mediterranean, a descent from a Costa Rican summit to the Pacific. We have spent years piecing the trails together so you can simply run them.
  4. Matched to your running. Every booking begins with a free 30-minute fit call. There is no sales pressure — if a different running vacation suits your fitness or your dates better, we will tell you honestly.
  5. Five very different worlds. From the gentle, gourmet Costa Brava coast to the full jungle expedition in Costa Rica, the five running holidays span the whole difficulty range, so there is a right one for a first-timer and a right one for a seasoned mountain runner.
  6. Backed by 88 five-star reviews. Across Google, TripAdvisor and Facebook we hold a 5.0 average from 88 reviews, and 100% of our runners recommend us. The stories below are a small sample.

Which running tour is right for you?

If you are newer to trail running, or you want the running balanced with beautiful towns and unforgettable food, start with Costa Brava or Sicily — both sit at the gentler end of the scale (●●○○○) on runnable coastal and hill trails.

If you want an iconic, point-to-point crossing, look at Morocco — Atlas to Sahara (●●●○○) or the Pyrenees to the Med (●●●●○): big-country running holidays that carry you from one landscape into a completely different one over the week.

If you want our wildest challenge, the Costa Rica jungle expedition (●●●●●) is the most demanding running vacation we run — summit to Pacific, through cloud forest and jungle.

Choosing by season? January belongs to Costa Rica; spring suits Costa Brava and Sicily; summer is Pyrenees season; and autumn is the time for Morocco and Sicily. Not sure? Book the fit call and we will point you to the right running vacation for your fitness and your calendar.

How booking a running tour works

Every booking starts with a 30-minute fit call — a friendly conversation to make sure the running vacation fits your running (no sales pressure; if another trip suits you better, we will say so). Then you reserve your spot. See all running vacations 2027 departures or request a brochure.

Running Vacation Packages: What Every Trip Includes

Every NomaTrails running vacation is a complete package — not a race entry, not a route file, but a fully guided, point-to-point journey where the logistics disappear and the running is all that's left. We keep the groups small so every trip stays personal — the way we've done it since 2011.

Expert local guides — every route is led by guides who share the culture and history of the places you run through, and keep the group safe.
Point-to-point routes — you run from town to town through trails, forests and coastline, and sleep somewhere new almost every night.
Daily luggage transport — your bags travel by support van while you run with only a day pack.
Handpicked local stays & food — small, family-run hotels and authentic local meals are part of the experience, never an afterthought.
Support van & GPS tracking — a van shadows the route, and GPS devices with real-time tracking keep everyone connected and secure.
Small groups — personal, low-impact trips, never coach-tour crowds.

Choose Your Running Tour — Compare the Five Packages

What do guided running holidays cost?

Our running vacation packages range from €1890 (Costa Brava) to $2700 (the Costa Rica expedition). The difference is the terrain and logistics, not the care: remote jungle support simply costs more than Mediterranean coast. Every price covers the same core — guides, luggage transport, accommodation and the meals listed in each brochure — so the number you see is close to the number you'll spend.
